Welcome to Luggy, the smart luggage-sharing platform that helps air passengers save money and earn extra income by sharing baggage allowance on the same flight.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Luggy mobile app, website, and related services (collectively referred to as the "Services").

By creating an account, accessing, or using Luggy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. โœˆ๏ธ What Luggy Is

Luggy is a Application that connects:

  • Senders โ€” passengers who have extra bags exceeding their airline allowance.
  • Carriers โ€” passengers who have unused baggage allowance and want to earn money by carrying an extra bag for another passenger.
  • Luggy provides a matching and agreement platform between both parties.
  • Luggy does not act as a transport company, baggage handler, or delivery agent. All agreements and transactions are made directly between passengers.

2. ๐Ÿ‘ค Eligibility

To use Luggy, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid passport and flight ticket.
  • Be legally permitted to enter and exit the countries of departure and destination.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and use.
  • Luggy reserves the right to verify identities and suspend or remove accounts that provide false or incomplete information.

3. ๐Ÿงพ Account Registration

When creating a Luggy account, you agree to provide the following information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Country of residence
  • Passport number
  • Personal photo (for verification)
  • Luggage photo (if applicable)

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Luggy is not liable for any unauthorized access caused by your negligence.

4. ๐Ÿค How Luggy Matching Works

Both passengers (Sender and Carrier) must be on the same flight, same date, and same destination.

The Sender posts a request or Carrier offers available baggage space.

Once matched, both parties review each other's profiles and agree on:

  • The number of bags.
  • The carrying fee (paid directly between them in cash)
  • Terms of handling and delivery

Both passengers sign a Luggy Agreement within the app, which includes:

  • Flight details
  • The carrying fee (paid directly between them in cash)
  • Bag ownership declaration
  • A statement that the Sender is fully responsible for the bag's contents
  • A release of liability for the Carrier and Luggy
  • This agreement can be printed and used as a legal document in front of authorities if required.

5. ๐Ÿ’ผ Bag Handling and Responsibility

The Sender must personally hand over the bag to the Carrier at the airport check-in counter.

The Carrier must return the bag to the Sender at the baggage belt at destination, before customs and security.

Luggy is not responsible for what is inside any bag, nor for any loss, damage, or customs issues.

Both passengers acknowledge that:

  • They understand what's inside the luggage.
  • The Sender accepts full responsibility for the contents.
  • The Carrier agrees only to transport the bag under the Sender's declaration.

6. ๐Ÿ’ธ Payments and Fees

The carrying fee (the agreed price between Sender and Carrier) is handled directly between the passengers โ€” typically in cash, either before or after the flight.

Luggy's service fee is the only amount paid through the app, during the matching process.

Luggy does not collect, process, or guarantee payments exchanged between passengers.

7. ๐Ÿ›‘ Prohibited Activities

Users agree not to use Luggy for any illegal or unsafe purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Sending or transporting prohibited, dangerous, or illegal items (such as weapons, drugs, or restricted goods).
  • Providing false information about luggage contents.
  • Using fake or invalid identification or flight details.
  • Harassing or threatening other users.
  • Attempting to bypass or misuse Luggy's verification or payment systems.

Any violation may result in immediate account suspension, report to authorities, and potential legal action.

8. ๐Ÿ” Data Privacy

Luggy collects and processes personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

This includes details such as:

  • Name, contact info, and passport number
  • Location data (for airport and matching features)
  • Personal and luggage photos

We use this information solely for verification, safety, and operational purposes.

9. โš–๏ธ Limitation of Liability

Luggy acts as a technology platform connecting passengers.

Luggy is not responsible for:

  • The contents of any luggage.
  • Any customs, security, or airline issues arising from luggage contents.
  • Payment disputes between passengers.
  • Loss, theft, or damage of luggage during transit.

By using Luggy, you agree that all arrangements and responsibilities lie directly between you and the matched passenger.

Luggy's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total service fee paid through the app.

10. ๐Ÿงพ Legal Agreement Between Passengers

Each match includes a digitally signed agreement that:

  • Declares bag ownership
  • Specifies both passengers' details
  • Transfers content responsibility to the Sender

This document may serve as proof of consent and understanding before authorities, if required.

11. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Modifications and Updates

Luggy may update these Terms at any time to reflect new features, regulations, or policies.

Updates will be published in the app and on the website, with the effective date clearly stated.

Continued use of Luggy after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. ๐Ÿงญ Termination

Luggy may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in unsafe or fraudulent behavior
  • Misuse the platform or share false information

13. ๐ŸŒ Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of United Arab Emirates.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by local law.
